With one Care Bear costume, one 101 Dalmatian costume, and liquid courage at a college Halloween party, we began to seek out each other personally against all unbelievable movie-like drama. Since then, we’re inseparable. Covid hit and took many things but gave us the space away from everything to really see our true selves in testing times. We’re so grateful to be able to pick one another up in the dark times and push to be better individuals throughout our lives.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Oh my gosh! Two come straight to our minds. One was our unprepared sunrise date at Thousand Steps Beach. We were freezing shaking like chihuahuas under a shared blanket, it was our first date, and worth it! The sunrise, empty beach, and nature sounds were so peaceful. We didn’t realize 14 hours passed but our awkward tan lines proved it! Our second was our engagement, the day before my chemo started. It was a statement that he wasn’t going anywhere, we were together no matter what.
What would you do with $20,000?My love proposed the day before chemo started as a testament that he will be there through it all. We would put it towards our dream wedding or our dream apartment as our new life is beginning since my chemo has ended.
