Connect How did your love story begin?

We worked together at a local restaurant. He was on the day shift and she was on the night shift. A group of the staff got together to go out for karaoke and it was our first time really having an opportunity to connect. When he put his hand on her leg she knew this was going somewhere. Our love for music, art, and our local community quickly brought us closer together. We attended local concerts, ate delicious food, and mixed fancy cocktails and fell in love with our city and each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

During the pandemic we isolated together and really missed going out to see live music. We decided to set up a little club in our living room by turning on fun lights and plugging in the big speakers we use for events we host. We plugged in all of the DJ equipment and he hooked his iPad up to the TV to create some custom live visuals. Little moments like this when the music is loud, we are surrounded by good art, and we get to dance the night away are always some of our favorites.

What would you do with $20,000?

It would be used to invest in our artistic ventures and our home. We host a lot of events in our local community and love to create spaces that invite and empower other artists. Siera would be able to purchase sound equipment for karaoke and DJing. Leon would be able to upgrade his art supplies, photography equipment, digital tools, and work space. We would be able to pay off some debt and get in a good position to really create a fun impact in our community.
