There is possibly no greater modern example of Romeo & Juliet-esque forbidden love than a Slytherin falling for a Ravenclaw (despite the bitter rivalry between their Quidditch teams). But that is exactly what happened when Cody met Shirley. His first memory of her, of course, was her catching the Golden Snitch and sealing a victory for Ravenclaw. His second, however, was when he thanked her for giving him a chance. “Don’t blow it,” she responded. It’s safe to say, he didn’t.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After making it work long distance for a few years, Shirley visited Cody in Texas one last time, as they packed his belongings into his car and drove, over the course of three days, all the way to New Jersey. This led to a puzzling engagement in Cape May and the perfect Harry Potter-themed wedding in October of 2022.
What would you do with $20,000?We would finally have no excuses to go on our (long-overdue) honeymoon to a destination still yet to be decided. The remaining would be used to fund volleyball tournament entrance fees and to improve our wonderful home for us and our future child(ren).
