It was 1992, and I was 23. My friend's parents invited me over for Christmas Eve. His soon-to-be 19-year-old sister was there, and wow, had she grown up! I was completely taken aback. Even though we were too shy to chat much that night, I could sense something special, and I knew she felt the same way. But it was my best friend’s little sister! I couldn’t stop thinking about her. The next week was New Year’s Eve, and this continues with “My Favorite Memory” below.

Choosing just one favorite memory from our 32-year journey together is tough. It’s like picking a favorite child! Too easy to say our wedding day on Long Island during the biggest blizzard in the tristate area in 50 years or the birth of our children. I would take it back to when it began. We attended a party seperately (her brother, my best friend). We glanced at each other during the evening. That night we slept on an "L" couch feet to feet. Played footsies throughout the night...still do!

With the $20,000 prize, we could splurge on a couple of cartons of eggs and fill up the cars for the whole month. But when you think about it, we’ve got more time behind us than in front, so I’d rather be more carefree and enjoy the moment. Sherry’s always dreamed of a trip to Europe, and that would be an amazing surprise gift for our 30th wedding anniversary in January. What do you think?
