How did your love story begin?

I was 21 and a DJ at a South Florida radio station. Our station was sponsoring a concert on Thanksgiving Day, 1989. I was there representing the station, and Sherri (my future wife) was there because her sister got free tickets to the concert since she was working at the venue. Her sister introduced herself, and also her younger sister (Sherri). Long story short, her sister gave me her phone number. I called and Sherri answered the phone. Two hours later we were on our first date. There is more.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Thirty five years together, there are so many. The night we met, our first date, our wedding day, the births of our children, and the list goes on and on. Every morning I get to wake up next to my wife is a favorite. Through the good and the tough times, we have always had each others backs. To pinpoint one moment in the past 12,984 days is extremely difficult, to the point of being impossible.

What would you do with $20,000?

Support my wife's new career. She has been running her own at home daycare for 25 years. She did this because it was the only way we could afford for her to be home with our children as they were growing up. Now that our youngest is 20 and the last to attend college, she would like to pursue a new venture by restoring/remodeling furniture to resell. She deserves to have her own schedule and a break from being "Miss Sherri".
