Mark and I met in 1991 and became friends but he was fresh out of a bad relationship. I met someone in 1992 and we were married for 25 years until he passed away from frontotemporal dementia. When I began to date again I absolutely hated dating apps so I decided to search for Mark. Found him working in another state but he came back every 2 weeks so we started dating in 2019 and married on 2/22/22 and are living happily ever after in our late 50’s.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our first date after not seeing each other for over 25 years and it was awkward knowing each other yet being strangers. I went to a paint night with friends right before our date and painted Jack Skellington and Sally and that painting now hangs above our bed as a forever reminder of our finding love again.
What would you do with $20,000?When we got together I was into rescuing cats. Turns out, Mark shares my love for animals and we’ve rescued many more since. The first thing we would do is take a honeymoon that we haven’t been able to afford because rescue takes a lot of our money. Then I would use the rest to help cats in need of help.
