We matched on a dating app twice and bonded over both having lived in the same place, barely missing one another. The first time, the timing wasn’t quite right. The second time, we finally met up because I was hungry and he turned his boat around after leaving for a weekend boating trip just to have dinner with me. It was an instant physical, mental, and emotional attraction. He was a true gentleman and we were true partners on day one. It was so hard to take things slowly knowing this was it.

The first Christmas we were dating, I kept joking to Kevin that he had to learn to ski and snowboard if things would work. He did. In one weekend. This led to many ski adventures including a weekend that year where we took a ski trip to Arapahoe Basin (our now favorite place to ski) followed by a -13 degree snow shoeing trek to 14,000ft with gummy bears at the top and later found out we had COVID that whole trip too. It wasn’t the altitude like we thought and we still had the best time together.

We would put it down on our dream property in the mountains, so we can build a sustainable, livable place close to all our favorite activities. We want to ski, skin, and snowboard, rock climb, gravel and mountain bike, hike, paddle board, naked garden, and live as much off the grid as we can together til the end of our days.
