Our love story began with a right swipe on bumble. Shannon (life long Islanders fan) swiped right on John (life long rangers fan) profile. Shannon’s pick up line was “Rangers fan? I bet I can change that!”. Shannon is still an Islanders fan, and John is still a rangers fan!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple is our first vacation together, which is also when our engagement took place. Our first vacation together was 3 1/2 years into our relationship. We were always tight on money and worked hard to save for our first vacation. We had both started our careers and were ready to travel together. John surprised Shannon with a beach front engagement on the 3rd day of the vacation. We got to spend the rest of our trip enjoying our engagement and celebrating eachother!
What would you do with $20,000?The $20,000 would go towards our wedding and a down payment for a house. Shannon is a nurse and John is an airline pilot and an officer in the United Stated Airforce. We are getting married October 1st, 2027 and are exploring options for where we would like to settle down that makes sense for both of our important careers!
