In 2021, Jay had just moved to Denver to start at a new law practice, while Shaneis had left her medical career in the mountains to advocate for her patients. She was on her second dating app date ever—her first at 31—and it was with Jay. Their first date felt magical, but they both realized their busy careers meant they weren't ready for a relationship. A year passed with both thinking of each other daily. Then fate intervened as their running routes overlapped, bringing them back together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have one each. Shaneis: Jay scream cheering in the crowd at one of her political events while she was on stage- he pissed off everyone around him bc he was “too loud” LOL. Jay: “Surprising Shaneis at our surprise engagement party with 70 of our closest friends and family. You can’t surprise this woman, but I GOT her!”
What would you do with $20,000?We would put it to our first home together! We hope to move in the next few months before we start a family!
