Our love story began 20 years ago with a call from my Aunt, asking me to break up Scottie and his girlfriend. I said I’m no homewrecker, but I’d handle it. Driving by, I saw him under a cherry blossom tree—our eyes met, time slowed. His girlfriend was already gone. We spent that day and night talking like we’d known each other forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our favorite memories as a couple is our wedding day, Oct. 3rd, 2009. We were nervous, excited, and surrounded by loved ones in a park filled with green grass, pink and white roses, and black bows on the chairs. A noose above us as we said our vows marked the moment we joined our families and committed to one another. It was a beautiful, unforgettable day.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20K, we’d first pay off Scottie’s truck to free up money for a house payment. The rest would go toward a down payment on a home with land—starting the foundation of a legacy we hope to leave for our kids someday.
