We were high school sweethearts 3/4/1984, madly in love. A few years later my family moved out of state. We tried to stay in touch, but eventually went separate ways. All through the years I tried to track him down through social media with no luck. One day in 2023 I came across his sister on Facebook. She gave him my number and he called 45 seconds later. We talked constantly. 3 months later he moved in. 3/4/2025 we married on the beach in the Bahamas with family and friends. Storybook ending!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The first time we saw each other in person it was cold and rainy. He drove up from SC to NJ 12 hours straight. I met him outside and said "you're here!" We gave each other the biggest hug right there in the driveway in the rain. Time stood still. We vowed that night that we would marry. So 41 years to the day that we first started dating, we married on a beach in the Bahamas with our children from other marriages, friends we grew up with and new friends as well. It's a Hallmark story!
What would you do with $20,000?We've missed so much by being separated for 40 years. We'd love to make up for all that lost time by traveling and experiencing life as we should have all those years ago.
