We met in 1981 and fell in love immediately. We are high school sweethearts. This year in October we will celebrate our 40th anniversary.

When I was 14 and Scott was 16, I asked him to go on a ride at our county fair. This was after I had asked one of his other friends who said no. We rode the Scrambler and it must have done something because we have been inseparable since 1981. I was in marching band twirling rifles, and he was the center on the football team. He and I had so much fun together throughout high school! We stayed together through thick and thin after that. College, Army, stationed in Italy, made us strong!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?So many to choose from. We went on a trip to Jamaica about 12 years ago and really reconnected as a couple after becoming empty nesters. We snorkeled, enjoyed fruity drinks, great food, and each other. Often! 😉 I haven’t held his hand that much since high school!
What would you do with $20,000?This year we are celebrating my retirement from teaching (34 years), my 60th birthday, and our 40th anniversary. We have talked about taking a trip to Bora Bora and staying in one of the over the water bungalows. $20,000 make that trip a reality!
