Connect How did your love story begin?

Like most modern-day romances, ours began with a swipe right on Tinder. Unlike other stories, however, I actually rejected Christina when she first asked me on a date! It wasn't until a few months later in the summer of 2019 when we were both in our home countries of the Netherlands and Greece that we reconnected. Christina picked me up from Logan airport when I returned and that's when it really started, in true U-Haul fashion, with a 5-day date. We've been inseparable ever since!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite (and probably Christina's most stressful) memory has to be the proposal. Working with my mom, she Inception-ed me into thinking it was my idea to "meet some of my mom's friends" at the New England Botanic Gardens. I even asked Christina if it was okay that I made the plans! Turns out, there was no meet-up, but the most wonderful surprise I could ask for. She even knew what color I was going to paint my nails and bought a ring box to match! It couldn't have been a better day.

What would you do with $20,000?

Now that we're officially engaged, we would put the money towards our wedding! As it turns out, the "friend" I thought I was meeting the day Christina proposed has offered to host our wedding in her back yard. Our dream reception dinner would be to skip the catering, and instead hire a few hibachi chefs to get the party going! Winning this prize would allow us to have the perfectly quaint, cross-cultural garden party we've been fantasizing about for so long.
