Calvin was three months post transplant and working as a swimming pool guard. I was sad (and drunk) and had no ID, but he let me in anyway. He was really bad at his job. But he made me laugh, which no one had in a very long time.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Every single memory of the last three years feels like our favorite. But if we had to pick, it would be the first Christmas we spent together, when I kept falling on the ice and he kept picking me up. Two giggling grown ups rolling on the ice together.
What would you do with $20,000?The one thing we have both been desperately searching for all our lives is: home. We would put a deposit on the little house we love, and buy our cat’s treats.
