Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at our senior year high school lunch table. We spent the whole year becoming fast friends and then he asked me to dance at prom. We hung out a lot that summer but with college looming we decided to just stay friends. Fast forward a few years later and we both had moved back to our hometown from our respective colleges and started hanging out regularly as friends. Eventually (after 6 years of friendship) we realized we had feelings for each other and started dating 13 years ago!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory as a couple is when we were finally able to move out completely on our own. We are a neurodivergent couple who have experienced many struggles in life and also many almost-wins just to be let down. Getting to that point of full autonomy and freedom was a very difficult journey for us but it has helped us grow even stronger & learn how to take care of each other. Now having our own space enables us every day to make even more beautiful memories.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would probably use it for a down payment on a house. While we do live on our own now in an apartment, owning a home has been a dream that we’ve been chasing. It almost feels like we need a side of luck in addition to all our hard work & endeavors in order to accomplish such a dream.
