Connect How did your love story begin?

In high school we were cast together in a production of the musical "Little Shop of Horrors." The day before opening night, Samantha finally mustered up the courage to ask Duncan out. After a couple of dates we became official! It didn't take long for us to realize that this was something special, and we remained strong all through the remainder of high school and the entirety of college. Duncan finally proposed at the beginning of 2023 and we will be getting married in a few short months!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After 8.5 years together, it's hard to come up with only one favorite memory, but one of our favorites is when we went to see the off Broadway production of "Little Shop of Horrors" on our 5 year dating anniversary! Of course Duncan's proposal is another top one, and the day we brought our sweet kitty Bunny (yes her name is Bunny lol) home is as well!

What would you do with $20,000?

We're hoping to buy a home together after Duncan finishes his PhD in a few years! Some of the money we'd definitely set aside to put towards a down payment. Samantha would also like to use some of the money to help her father finally retire! Her parents raised six children together and her dad has worked incredibly hard for decades to support everyone, so he's definitely earned being able to relax!
