Connect How did your love story begin?

We met through Soph’s sister who happens to be Sam’s best friend. Sam went over to Soph’s house for dinner not knowing that her best friend’s sister was there or even the same age. We hit it off immediately, and by playing a game where Sam found out that Soph was in a 6 year long relationship. Four months later, Sam was out of a situationship and Soph had broke things off with her long term boyfriend. We decided, why wait? And began dating shortly after rekindling.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When Sam proposed. We were on the beaches of Amelia Island, Florida and it was dark but felt like the right moment. Soph enjoys looking for shells and so while walking by the water, whilst Soph is eating a handful of popcorn chicken, Sam got down on one knee, and said “How’s this one?” with a ring in hand. Soph finally gets the light right on Sam and snatches the ring (mouth full of chicken), places it on her finger and jumps around smiling. Technically she never even said yes.

What would you do with $20,000?

We still live with Soph’s mom and sister. Sam is in school for Automotive Technology and Soph works a full time writing job from home. $20,000 could help us move out and finally create a home atmosphere that we are so looking forward to. We are trying to save money but it’s extremely hard in this economy (as I’m sure everyone understands). We have been together for over 3 years and have never been able to live alone like most couples do. We would love to finally have a place to call our home.
