When I was 15, I went to a party full of people that I had known for years. I heard a wild, loud laugh that I didn't recognize. I looked across the room to find the source of the laugh. When we saw eachother, I didn't love him yet, but I knew something had just started. My parents hated him. They tried to keep us apart for all of highschool. When we went to colleges on opposite ends of the state, they thought it would end. But with our world against us, we never let go of eachother.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We had just cut down our first Christmas tree, a 4.5ft tall spruce for our 600sq ft apartment. I had been lonely since getting married, living in a new town hours away from everyone I knew. With no warning, he pulled over at the local animal shelter and told me to pick out a kitten, tree still strapped to the roof of the car. He waited patiently while I held every cat in the shelter. We put up our teensy tree, with 12 ornaments, and spent the night trying to keep the kitten from climbing it.
What would you do with $20,000?We want to buy a house with land so that we can become licensed wildlife rehabbers. $20,000 would significantly help us with a down payment on our dream place.
