I was friends with his step brother, who introduced us at the Watermelon Festival. We were instantly infatuated and met up later for the street dance. He had been sipping liquid courage and sang "Amazed" by Lone Star to me. We were off and on for 20 years, until we finally tied the knot. He always knew he'd marry me. Now I sometimes have nightmares of me not being with him or never having met him. I'm always so relieved when I wake up and he's right there!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When we were dating as teens, he'd come over and we'd fall asleep together on the couch watching Meerkat Manor. Or we played video games together until dinner, then went over to my grandma's to play Scrabble. We were very competitive with Scrabble!
What would you do with $20,000?We'd love to have the honeymoon we've never been able to afford. Nothing too crazy, but maybe a trip to another state or a simple vow renewal near my parents so they can attend. Also, we own our own woodworking business, so we'd probably upgrade a tool or two to make our work easier.
