In 1995, I went to Florida for MLB tryouts, but when that dream didn’t work out, I took a job at a shipping company in Miami—where I met Kelly. She was asked to show me around and, though she was in a relationship, we hit it off instantly. She even tried to set me up with a friend! But after a night of laughter, a reggae bar, and a little liquid courage, we kissed—and that moment changed everything. The rest is history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Aside from the life-changing joy of our sons' births, one of our favorite moments was a weekend in Washington, D.C. We rented a scooter and zipped around the monuments and historic sites, laughing and soaking in the adventure. It was spontaneous, simple, and full of joy—just us, the open air, and a shared sense of wonder.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take a memorable family vacation with our two sons, their fiancées and other family members. Spending quality time together, exploring new places, and creating lifelong memories as a growing family would mean the world to us.
