We’d known each other for years through family friends but never truly connected—until the day my mom moved her salon and he showed up to help. We clicked instantly, maybe because we were so alike. From there, it wasn’t always easy—we both had a lot going on—but we knew how deeply we loved each other. We leaned on one another, always showing up, always taking action to make sure we were okay. That bond became our foundation.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory is all the simple times we’d take his truck to the lake, a forest preserve, or a quiet field. We’d grab snacks or dinner, just talk, laugh, and soak in the peace around us. No distractions—just us, nature, and real connection. Those moments were pure, grounding, and full of love. They’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
What would you do with $20,000?First, we’d get our puppy’s ACL surgery—it's pricey and she needs constant care during recovery. Next, we’d fix our cars—both are older with issues we haven’t been able to afford. And if there’s anything left, we’d finally take a small vacation. In our 3.5 years together, we’ve never had a real trip—just time to relax and enjoy each other without stress would mean the world.
