Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in detox—me, with one sock, too-tight leggings, and no idea what was next. On day six, he showed up with beautiful blue eyes, a brain full of numbers, and a full pack of socks. We made ramen together from whatever we could find in the kitchen. Healing turned into laughter, then love. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I’ve always hated February—it holds both my late mother’s birthday and the anniversary of her passing. But this year, he proposed by my parents’ graves on her birthday. We got married 10 days later, on the day she died. I believe in turning hard days and places into sacred ones. We wed quietly in a dress I already had, in a cozy restaurant just down from Music Row, where we first met. It was simple, soulful, and full of meaning—my favorite memory in this life we’re building together.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20K, we’d invest in our shared dream: creating a healing space for others like us—people navigating recovery, neurodivergence, and fresh starts. We’d finish building The Sparkle Effect, our boutique and storytelling hub that honors second chances and spreads kindness. We’d also launch our “Queso & Conversations” experience—offering comfort food, connection, and hope. Every dollar would help us turn past pain into purpose—for us and for our community.
