How did your love story begin?

It began in our 40's. We met online over a game of Texas Holdem and after many hour long conversations over the months Ron flew out to meet me in Texas. I walked into his hotel room and the first time I laid my eyes upon him, he was holding my oldest granddaughter in his arms rocking her to sleep. That is when I knew I loved this man with all my heart. We flew back and forth for over 2 1/2 years until we decided to meet one another in middle and begin our forever adventure in Rockford IL.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory would have to be January 22nd 2009. Ron had packed an overnight bag the night before our departure and when I woke the next morning he told me that we were going to Jamaica for lunch. We left Chicago at 6 am on a cold and snowy day and landed in Montego Bay at 10 am. He took me Sandal's private island in Jamaica, and swept me off my feet as he proposed at the edge of the Caribbean after 5 years of being together. We left Montego Bay engaged at 6 pm the same to return home

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the money to pay off a few medical bills (practicality first) as I have been dealing with 5 surgeries due to several bouts of melanoma. And if we were lucky enough to have any left we would use if for another adventure somewhere together... time isn't promised but love is always a given in our home!
