I (Rodney) was living with some friends in Charlotte and I asked one (Donnie) of them to ride with me to my hometown to sign some papers on a car I was buying from my brother. Donnie said, "Sure, but only if we can go to Raleigh and meet my college roommate (Keith) for lunch." We met at Crabtree Valley Mall, Donnie and Keith talked for about 2 hours and completely ignored me. When we got in the car to come home, Donnie said, "Keith likes you, he thinks you're cute"....the rest is history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Honestly, there are too many to mention, but at the top of the list must be our wedding day. On our 30th anniversary, we were married in front of our a huge crowd, including our chosen friends and family, at the Carolina Renaissance Festival. We had always said that when it became legal for us to marry, we would do it. We were the first same sex wedding at the Festival and I can honestly say it was the best day ever.
What would you do with $20,000?Most likely take the trip to England that we have dreamed about for 41 years. Either that or pay off my car....NOT!
