We met online 22 years ago, back in the early days of online dating, and just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Rod, raised in London, is more laid-back and reserved with a dry sense of British humor. Alison is a bold and outspoken New Yorker, bringing the fire and her uniqueness to their relationship. It’s an opposites-attract love story with a healthy dash of cultural contrast, which keeps things interesting from day one and still does.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The chapter we’re in now is the most memorable of our marriage. After years of ups & downs, being selected for the show Couples Therapy reignited our relationship and reminded us how strong we are. The global praise for our vulnerability, empathy, bravery, and honesty has been overwhelming and healing. This moment, right now, is our favorite memory in the making and our new chapter.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the $20K to treat ourselves. Rod always puts Alison and their daughter first and often forgets himself, something Alison lovingly calls him out on. She reminds him to celebrate not just her and their daughter, but also us as a couple and himself. We’d take a special vacation together and also put some toward our amazing daughter’s future. To joy, healing, and memories, all in one gift.
