How did your love story begin?

This is the second marriage for both - I was married for 20 and he for 25. We each never had kids, and we actually met at work! Literally love at first sight and we were married six months later! We were only married for two years before my cancer struck…so right before I started chemo, he took me to Disney world for my 50th…he’s never left me side through both bouts with breast cancer. People meet us and say that we “exude love. And I think they’re right!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We were both Disney lovers in our previous marriages,but Disney has become our go-to for happiness! On our very first Disney cruise for our fifth anniversary, I woke up in the night with a 104 fever. I had an infection which quickly progressed to sepsis. My husband stayed with me in the ship’s hospital for the four remaining days and watched Cinderella on loop with me. He is truly my Prince Charming.

What would you do with $20,000?

I owe my husband my life, gratitude, and respect dying love. He never asks for anything and has given up so much for my ongoing illnesses. He’s retired Air Force (23 years) and he’s always wanted an AF customized “class ring”. I’d love to buy him that, and I would book a cruise to Alaska since that’s a bucket list item for him. You never know how long you have on this earth, and I want to spend as much time as I have left with him, thanking him for being my forever love.
