We would like to thank you for supporting Robert & Alice Kyker in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met in high school and have been inseparable ever since. A mutual friend told Robert that Alice liked him, and from that moment, everything changed. We became best friends and quickly knew we were meant to be. After high school, we went to Job Corps together, then moved in and started our family. Our journey began young, but our love has only grown stronger through every chapter.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve made countless amazing memories—from family holidays to Mardi Gras in New Orleans—but one of our all-time favorites is our week in Las Vegas. We did the trip on a tight budget, but that made it even more special. We walked the entire Strip, took in all the sights, and made unforgettable memories just enjoying each other’s company. It was simple, fun, and perfectly us.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won the $20,000 grand prize, we’d do what most people would—start by paying off bills, especially medical debt, and finally get a little breathing room. We’d set some aside just for us, maybe plan a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras or head to Chicago to visit family. Nothing extravagant—just catching up, easing stress, and enjoying a bit of life together without the weight of bills constantly hanging over us.
