As Robbie left for work, we shared an awkward, lingering goodbye—then came our first kiss. I instinctively reached for him, then quickly pulled back, not wanting to seem too eager, but in that moment, I knew I’d marry him. Less than three months later, we were engaged. It’s my favorite memory—our forever beginning.
