We share values, dreams, and respect. We fight for the same things and lift each other up.
We would like to thank you for supporting Ro y Ale = Royale in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We were friends in high school but reconnected 8 years later when I was doing my master’s. He posted a fish photo (classic single guy move in Florida), and I took it as a sign he was single and I was right. We started talking, sparks flew, and two months later I moved to L.A.—and he followed.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of my favorite memories is when Alejandro proposed at the beach during a beautiful sunrise. It was perfect—until a cloud of mosquitos attacked us and my legs looked like I had the pox! But then he surprised me with breakfast, a relaxing day at our favorite hotel in my favorite neighborhood, pool time, and dinner. It was chaotic, sweet, and unforgettable—just like us.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20K, we’d invest a portion and finally take the honeymoon we never had. We’ve always dreamed of going to Japan, but chose to use our savings to buy a home instead—because we share the same priorities and goals. Now we’d love to celebrate our marriage with an adventure-filled trip, exploring new places, making memories, and eating our way through every corner of Tokyo.
