Together since 2020. Long distance for 3 & 1/2 years 3 states away. I will be a nurse for the VA and he’s in medical sales.
We would like to thank you for supporting Ricky and Madison in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love began during the start of COVID-19 in a genetics class. He asked me for "help," which was really just an excuse to talk since he was good at genetics. We kept in touch through the summer between my move from Virginia to Georgia. Our bond grew as we prepared for our non-traditional volleyball and football seasons in Fall 2020. Amidst all the change, we slowly fell for each other and began dating in December 2020.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One special memory we share is from a snowstorm in early 2021, just after we started dating. We lost power and spent the evening playing card games by candlelight, really getting to know each other. When the lights came back on, we discovered we both loved Harry Potter. Since then, it's become our winter tradition to watch all the movies together whenever we reunite.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, Ricky and I would begin building our future together, starting a home, setting aside a little for travel while we’re still long-distance (hopefully not for much longer!), and saving for our wedding someday. We’d also give back to our amazing parents, who supported us by letting us stay at home while we worked and I finished my master’s in nursing, helping with meals, encouragement, and so much more.
