How did your love story begin?

We are high school sweethearts. Met as kids, later started dating in high school. He was a wrestler and I managed the team. He was funny and spontaneous. I was serious and focused. Dated for 6 years then married in 8/1996. We loved to plan our future and family. Still our favorite topic of conversation. We support each other’s demanding professions with wellness checks. We honor this love journey each day. We love fitness, cooking, travel, our family and helping others.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We both cherish the birth of our children and the time that we spend with them as our favorite memories. Being present as they grow and venture off into this world. Every moment is a new memory we love. Our world revolves around them. They are now 21 and 22 yrs old. Our favorite spot on the planet is Islamorada in the Florida Keys and have taken them there since they were babies. Still making beautiful memories with them just relaxing and making plans for our future as a family.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the $20,000 to launch our family foundation to support foster children in Miami who are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. I have experience with program development from my work at the University of Miami. We will use this money and our experience to help our most vulnerable population with the prevention of victimization from the crimes targeting them such as Human Trafficking.
