How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in church. A man who I had a crush on since I was 17 was now a grown man handsome man sitting in the front pew of the choir. I was sitting on the second pew when our eyes locked and we smiled at each other. After service he asked if I was married and I said no, he asked if I was seeing someone and I said no (I was lying). Then he asked if he could have my phone number and call me some time. I gave him my number and 31years later, our love story continues.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many favorite memories as we have so much fun together. I would say when he asked me to marry him in a very odd way. He asked me if I would mind if he went to lunch with a former girlfriend and I said, okay (I don't know why). When he returned he told me how much fun he had and how he had forgotten how much they had in common. I knew it was over. Until he said, "one thing I know now is that she is my past and you are my future, will you marry me? Needless to say, I said, YES!

What would you do with $20,000?

Because we believe in giving, we would give a portion to our church as we are beginning to build what we call the "City of Possibility". This is a community where there will be affordable homes for seniors, single families, persons with intellectual disabilities and anyone who would like to live in a safe and comfortble environment where businesses can thrive in an eco-friendly community. We would pay down our debt and take a vacation of a lifetime and hopefully make more wonderful memories.
