Connect How did your love story begin?

We met the old fashioned way - through a mutual friend! Our friend was throwing his birthday party at a Monster Truck show in Capital One Arena in Washington DC, in January 2020 (our other friend worked there and got a suite for free - so they thought, why not? It’s not normally my scene). That night I noticed Reuben as he was super tall and stood out from crowd. I made the first move, starting with some light flirting, and we ended up basically going on our first date later that night!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories was our first weekend getaway. It was the weekend after New Years 2021, we drove to Charlottesville, VA and hopped around some wineries. It was the first time we got to see how we would be on a trip - and it did not disappoint. We had so much fun, tried new foods and wines, and got a little tipsy in the hotel room. It was the beginning of what would be a favorite pastime of ours - traveling and just having so much fun together.

What would you do with $20,000?

What wouldn’t we do! First off, we would opt for real flowers at our wedding. Currently we have budgeted satin flowers that we can rent. We would use the rest to go on an amazing honeymoon (as I said, travel Amy and Reuben are the most fun Amy and Reuben). And finally, we would set some aside to get something nice for our parents. They have been amazing so far supporting us during our wedding planning journey.
