We first met in 6th grade and had some classes together. Then Ren changed schools and we ended up reconnecting again our first year of college through mutual friends. I had a boyfriend at the time and then ended up moving back home anyway. We reconnected again in our late 20’s through Facebook and both having been to Yosemite National Park. We decided to meet up for drinks and ended up talking for hours. 9 years later, we live in CA together with our two pups and love to travel and camp.

It’s hard to choose just one but our first cross country road trip is high up on the list. It was early on in our relationship and you definitely get a feel for things when you share a car for 6 weeks on the road. Getting to experience some of the most beautiful national parks in the country was unforgettable and the start to many more trips like that together.

Our 10 year anniversary is coming up and we would love to throw a big party to celebrate with family and friends. After a really hard year and a half full of losses on both sides of our families we want to share something beautiful and joyous with everyone. We’ve never had a wedding or anything so this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate our love with our favorite people. The rest will go to savings towards buying a home in Detroit where Ren has family roots.
