Our love story didn’t start with sparks—it started with side-eyes. We met at OCTC, and to be honest, I didn’t like him at first. I thought he was a know-it-all and kind of annoying. (He knows this.) But somehow, he grew on me. Our first not-date was supposed to be a group dinner with coworkers—everyone canceled last minute except us. Red asked if I still wanted to go, and as a single mom, a night out was a no-brainer. That night, something shifted. We laughed. We talked. We got weird looks.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding day; nothing fancy, nothing went right. I wore a black Target dress, he wore a black polo. We got married in the library at the college where we met, worked, and fell in love. I even forgot the marriage license. It was chaotic, small, and perfect. We got married in the same place our love story began.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the $20,000 to create stability—pay off debt, catch up on bills, take our kids on their first real vacation, and finally breathe. We’ve poured so much into everyone else; this would let us pour into us.
