Emily and I (Rebecca) worked in the same hotel in Virginia Beach, VA. In 2019, during an event at the hotel, Emily was the banquet chef, and I was the distillery representative. I was at my tasting table, offering whiskey tastings to guests and she was tending to a meat carving station about 20 feet to my left. We saw each other for the first time that day and both agreed that in the moment we saw each other, we both instinctively knew we would end up married.

Our favorite memory of us as a couple would have to be the day we got married. As cliche as it sounds, our wedding day was filled with absolute magic. I spent the day so carefree. Everyone kept asking if I was nervous and I couldn't muster up a single ounce of nervousness if I had tried! The moment the doors opened for my dad to walk me down the aisle, I began sobbing. I was a mess! Because at the end of the aisle was the most incredible woman in the world who I knew would be my forever.

Emily and I long for a home. I am an artist and she is a chef, so we are constantly daydreaming of having a small, cozy, home one day. I'd have an art studio, and she'd have the perfect kitchen. We've agreed that our spaces should be side by side to be sure we can always engage in our passions while still in each other's company. The best couples are the ones who find endless inspiration and motivation through their partner. Nothing could be truer between us.
