Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in 8th grade and fell in love in high school. Now, 39 years of marriage later, we’re still each other’s greatest love story. Through every season: joyful, chaotic, or quiet, we’ve chosen each other. We’ve raised three children, adore our three granddaughters, and still hold hands like we’re sixteen. Our hearts have aged, but the love? It’s only grown deeper, stronger, and more beautiful with time.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our most meaningful memories was fulfilling my husband’s dream of visiting Graceland. Watching him walk through Elvis’s home, smiling like a kid again, was unforgettable. The moment he scattered his mother’s ashes there, at a place that meant so much to him, and her, was powerful. It wasn’t just a trip. It was love, loss, music, and healing all wrapped into one beautiful experience I was honored to share with him.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’ve accumulated some debt over the years, and running a small business in today’s world isn’t easy. We’d use part of the money to relieve some of that pressure and breathe a little easier. The rest, we’d set aside for a long-overdue bucket list trip. Nothing extravagant, just a chance to relax, explore, and enjoy each other’s company in a new place. After 39 years, we still love making memories together.
