Our love story begins when Alaina got a job at a small Spanish restaurant in Milwaukee, after moving back from teaching English in Spain. It was on her second day that she met the assistant manager, me (Courtney)! Our connection was instant. We spent the evening "training" by trying wine and cheeses, while we talked about our dreams. We bonded instantly over our creativity. I remember leaving that day thinking, 'this person will be in my life for the rest of my life.'
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?There are too many favorite memories, because every year we find new ways to enjoy life together. Some of our favorites are every time we go on a new adventure and experience something for the first time, together. We love to travel. Whether it is hanging out on the beaches of Aruba, seeing the dolphins in the Amazon River, getting tattoos in Paris, or renting an apartment in Valencia to explore the city, we love to see new places together.
What would you do with $20,000?With the $20,000, we’d do what we love most: create. We have been creating queer content and short films since we met, showing the beauty and nuance of being lgbtq+ and giving representation to areas that are lacking. We just moved to LA to make our dreams come true, and we’d use some of it to start our next project. 
We’d use the rest to start planning our wedding. We’ve been together for 7 years and engaged for 2, and we put our dreams before our wedding, but we are ready to be wives.
