Connect How did your love story begin?

Preston and I met on the first day of 7th grade—two strangers, one quiet spark. I held his hand that first day, and a quiet bond began. Though time and distance wove through our school years, our connection never faded. On a cold February night, he visited me in college, and something old began to feel new. On August 26th, atop Mount Major, with Lake Winnipesaukee below and the sky holding its breath, seven years of friendship unfurled into love with a single, perfect kiss.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I think our favorite memory to return to is the quiet reminder that we are deeply loved. From the very beginning, we knew that you can’t always be at 100%—and that’s okay. Even if all you can offer is 1%, it’s still your best and that is enough. That simple truth, held between us, is what stays. Because the most lasting memory isn’t a single moment or place—it’s the feeling of being completely accepted, supported, and loved, no matter what.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use $20,000 to ensure our daughter, Leannah, has every opportunity to thrive. This would support her education, extracurriculars, and meaningful experiences that enrich her growth. It’s important to us that she becomes a well-rounded individual, and this financial support would help open doors to the beauty, learning, and wonder this world has to offer.
