Eddie is a Broadway music director, and was visiting Shreveport for a one-night tour stop in March of 2020. We met after the show at a local bar, and both felt that this was more than just a chance meeting, so we kept in touch after he left town the next day. We talked for over 10 hours each day, and when the COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders came, we decided to take a chance, and sheltered-in-place together. The rest is literal history!

At the early stages of our relationship, our jobs both closed during the pandemic, so we were forced to spend time getting to know each other, by ourselves. During the day, we made a routine: house chores, cooking meals, & going on walks; during the night, we played countless hours of Mario Odyssey on the Switch, making plenty of mistakes in the game, but laughing to the point of crying every night for months. We probably owe Mario some prize money for how many times he died at our hands.

$20,000 would give us a chance to truly start our lives together! In these uncertain economic times, it's hard to create a fresh start as a couple, so the prize money would help us pay off some debt, and help us save for a down payment on our first home together- a place that we can call our own, and fill with as much music, love, and laughter as possible! This would also help us make Eddie's dream of creating a full at-home music studio that much closer of a reality.
