How did your love story begin?

I asked her out on my birthday. We met at a wine bar, and both of us were so nervous that we drank a half a bottle of wine each. I had just moved to town, and I was over the moon to connect with somebody. I invited her back to my apartment, and we talked for hours. I had never met anybody with whom I liked to talk so much. It felt easy right off the bat, but exciting too. I was ecstatic about how beautiful and captivating she was; it made me nervous, but I couldn’t wait to see her again.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We had driven home from vacation, and on the way stopped at Ikea. Cam loves the lunch there, and I love looking at the furniture. We bought a stuffed bear the size of a human. Then we listened to these offensive true crime podcasts in the car. But when we got home, it was 100 degrees inside our apartment. Our heating cooling system had gone haywire while we were out of town. We went out to the pool and did horrible impressions of the true crime podcast dialogue while the apartment cooled down.

What would you do with $20,000?

Maybe this is a very boring answer, but both of us have student loan debt, and we would probably use some of the money to help pay that off. We like going out to nice restaurants, maybe more than anyone else I know, so a chunk of it would certainly go to that. I love to cook for her, and I would use some of the money to buy a nice cast iron pan. We also love to travel, and would use some of the money to have an adventure somewhere with beautiful views and delicious food like Turkey or Armenia.
