From the first time I met Pete, I knew I’d marry him. We both have been through tremendous loss but instantly felt trust and admiration for each other. We married less than a year from our first date. Each day is, somehow, better than the previous one. We are each others best friend. Being mindful daily, we make a point to be intentional with our relationship.

Our home is our favorite memory as a couple. The night we bought the house, Pete surprised me with a candlelit proposal in our backyard. Just six weeks later, we had an intimate wedding ceremony with our family in the same spot Pete proposed. Every detail was incorporated with sentimental pieces to wrap our relationship together. My bouquet was made of every dried flower Pete gave me. We’ve built a home where a house stood.

We would be honored to share our winnings with our favorite non-profit group: Jack’s Caregiver Coalition. This group has been instrumental to Pete as the only caregiver support community focused on men. Miranda is a hospice nurse and knows firsthand the difficulties of losing a loved one. Additionally, our 6 kids are hoping we win to take the trip of a lifetime - ALASKA! As a huge conservation family, we’d love to see the raw beauty in person.
