How did your love story begin?

Paul was on a date and it was going really bad so he actually snuck out the back door and vowed never to date again. He was swearing off women all the way to a friend’s workplace where she was the bartender. She had just stepped out for a break so I was covering the bar and that’s where we met. He says it was my long hair and red lip stick and I thought he was cute. Later I asked the bartender about him and she said we would make a great couple because he was a nice guy and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Of course the birth of our three daughters (although I had Paul removed from the room for one of them because he fell asleep)! Runners up would be running blocks in the rain lost in DC. with all three kids in tow on a drive by day fix by night rv trip across the country to my brothers wedding. Or our move across country from Phoenix to Georgia in an rv with two teenagers, grandma, 3 cats and 4 dogs and I do think the animals did better than the humans!!!

What would you do with $20,000?

In true Paul and Amy fashion we bought an old boat and completely gutted it. I turned my back for 45 minutes and he had the entire aft cabin torn apart!! So this would help finish what we started because Paul has always dreamed of living on a boat and I promised I’d do it for at least a year. And I’ll get my 30 yr wedding anniversary band because you know I’ve earned it! ;)
