Connect How did your love story begin?

We met back in high school and became great friends. In Paola’s last year of college, she reconnected with her old friend, had a great talk. Slowly after months, the amazing relationship began. He celebrated my 21st birthday, graduation, and every big life accomplishment with me ever since. Because we had a great foundation as friends, the entire relationship has felt easy peasy, exciting and collaborative. Everyone that knows us, knows that we are still as in love as we were 9 years ago.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

For Paola‘s 27th birthday, we took a trip to Holbox. The trip was meant to help us reconnect spiritually and emotionally after a long year of individual hardships. The weather was horrible, it was raining and all of the island was basically underwater. I believe that was another test for us to endure together. We stayed in the room, had a long chat and put it all out on the table. Within a few hours, the sun came up, everything cleared up and we got a chance to enjoy the beautiful island.

What would you do with $20,000?

Vic is from Caracas City and Paola is from Mexico City. We both moved to a suburb or Houston in 2007. While we love Houston, it has a very small town feel that we miss from our home cities. It has always been our dream to move to New York City to pursue bigger aspirations, bigger career opportunities, and enjoy what the big city has to offer. The 20,000 would be a great help to jumpstarting our new life in our dream city. Help with a deposit for a small apartment and maybe a few moving expenses.
