25 years strong with a 25-year age gap, Connie and I proved that love laughs louder, lives bolder, and breaks every rule in the best way.

Love began in Boise at an event called Alive After Five, where I walked up to Connie and told him he was an incredibly handsome man. We had a drink, and he asked me out again. I made a homemade picnic with fresh tortellini, charcuterie, and dessert, then went to meet him. He was an HOUR late, it started to rain, he suggested a restaurant. I snapped, “I cooked all day. We’re HAVING a picnic.” We talked for hours (and never did eat the food) and then he asked, “May I kiss you?” So LOVE began!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite moment in 25 years of marriage has been becoming Grandma and Granddaddy to our granddaughters, Makenna (17) and Rilyn (12). Because of our age difference, we didn’t have biological children, but when those girls came into our lives, they filled a space we didn’t even know was missing. Watching them grow, laugh, and love has been the greatest joy of our lives. They made us a family in the deepest, most beautiful way, and fulfilled our shared dream of unconditional love.
What would you do with $20,000?If we win the $20K America's Favorite Couple award, we will use it to create lasting memories with our granddaughters, Makenna and Rilyn, who made us a family in the most beautiful way. With no children of our own, becoming Grandma and Granddaddy has been our greatest joy. We would plan a once-in-a-lifetime trip with them, filled with laughter, stories, and love. After 25 years together, we want to celebrate not just our love but the legacy of it through the next generation.
