We are both in the arts and we met at an intense day job. I kept trying to let Matt know that I liked him but he just wasn’t getting it. So I went to watch his band play and I decided to make my move. After the show, I gave him a huge, flirty hug. Unfortunately, I didn’t know he had 3 bruised ribs. The next day Matt wasn’t at work because my hug officially broke his ribs. We’ve been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After a few VERY difficult years of beating cervical cancer and then losing my dad, we took a leap of faith and went to see the Northern Lights. There was a slim chance of seeing them that time of year but they suddenly appeared above our head and it was absolutely magical.
What would you do with $20,000?In 2023 we lost our business of 12 years and we miss it. We ran a theater that encouraged everyone to express their art. We were proud to be a space for people who might not fit in other places. If we won $20,000, we would travel the world and do pop up shows where we could encourage local talent who might not normally have a space to perform. Travel and art are our two favorite things. There are so many places and adventures that we still want to experience together.
