Connect How did your love story begin?

12 yrs ago, working at the same restaurant, while finishing school. Our love story wasn’t easy at first. At first, we had to hide our relationship due to family differences, we broke up a few times due to stress and age difference. But, we always found our way to each other. Im grateful for those bumps we faced because we were able to grow, grow in our careers, grow in our relationship, and be more committed to each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first mini vacation together. It was not anything special or grand but it was the first time that we were away alone, and I just remember feeling on cloud 9, and never wanting this moment to fade away. This was also a time where my family wasn’t accepting of the relationship, so with that stress, I just remember feeling free. (My family now adores him btw, and couldn’t be happier)

What would you do with $20,000?

Part of the money we would put towards our sons (he is my step son but I hate saying step because I treat him as my own) marching band trips that are coming up. It’s 2 months before our wedding, so money has been tight, but we see how smart and committed he is and couldn’t say no to his activities. For the rest, we would put towards the wedding. We took in his mother, so some of her costs will be out of our pockets (dress, makeup, rehearsal dinner) so these are things that come first.. Family
