After decades of awkward first dates, ghosting, and wondering if maybe we'd just end up with a dog and a good skincare routine, we finally met each other in our 40s (shout out to Bumble!). We fell in love fast, got engaged, and now we’re raising a baby together with the wisdom of our years, and just enough youthful delusion to still think we’ve got things under control.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Traveling to Joshua Tree... twice! The first time, we were newly dating and trying to play it cool while secretly thinking, “Wait-is this my person?” Spoiler alert: we were both right. Cue the magic of the desert, late-night stargazing, and deep talks that sealed the deal. Fast forward, and we returned with our daughter Dakota on her first-ever trip. This time there was less wine and more diapers, but the heart of it was the same, just the three of us, surrounded by magic and unconditional love.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d split it: $10,000 would go into savings for our daughter, because nothing says "we love you" like compound interest. The other $10,000 would go toward making our house even more of a home, think creating our own food garden, maybe finally fixing things we keep pretending aren't broken, and creating a cozy space where our little family can keep growing, dreaming, and dancing in the kitchen.
