I (Nichole) had sworn off men and definitely KNEW I was never getting married, so I was just having fun on dating apps. Scott was more of a relationship person but also wasn’t seriously dating at the time. We both had been out of very long term (dysfunctional) relationships. I swiped right on him on bumble and made the first move. We went on our first date a week later, which lasted until 5am. Scott was consistent, thoughtful and understanding of my hesitation. And I said I love you first.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our engagement weekend. I was BLINDSIDED. He took me to Watkins Glen, NY for a surprise weekend (which is normal for us). I was clueless. After a long day of hiking and blowing glass, I came out of the shower to candles lit, my favorite Deftones song playing and my dog in a bow tie. I think we’re still riding the high of the moment he asked me to marry him.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it for our dream honeymoon. We’re skipping the big wedding because weddings in NJ are too expensive and we would want to spend that money on travel anyway. Japan or Fiji or Italy!
