Connect How did your love story begin?

I (Tricia) transferred mid-semester our sophomore year of high school and Nathan was my first friend. We greeted me with warm welcomes and compassion. He skipped his lunch periods and opted to stay with me in our math class to help me catch up on work I was behind in. We soon developed a very close friendship- since then we have been best friends. We continued to hang out daily in and outside of school. I never knew that my biggest fear of transferring schools would end so beautifully.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s hard to choose one memory- Nathan and I have been best friends for 6 years and together for 5. However, i’ll list a a few… Christmas is my favorite holiday and when he proposed he took me to see the most beautiful Christmas lights in Helen, GA when he then asked me to marry him, Friday night date nights at our favorite restaurants, we enjoy going to the arcade or staying in and playing Xbox/ computer together! Every moment together is filled with so much laughter and love.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are getting married on September 14, 2025, and fortunately we have worked very hard to pay for our wedding 100% ourselves and our honeymoon. But marriage comes with many more expenses than just the wedding- we’re currently in the market of looking for a home. We would use this money to put towards a home we will share together and grow our family in. This 20,000 would be more than money for us, but the foundation growing our future together and creating more beautiful memories.
